ABOUT US
Our firm’s commitment to environmental responsibility and preservation
We are dedicated to being a responsible member of the legal and wider business community. We recognise the importance of positively impacting the environment and society in which we operate. To achieve our goal, we have implemented a range of sustainable practices into our business including those with a focus on helping to save the environment for future generations.
Ongoing projects:
Project PULP (Please Use Less Paper)
We launched Project PULP (Please Use Less Paper) in 2021. Through Project PULP, we encourage everyone at Tanner De Witt to be mindful of their paper usage and embrace digital solutions whenever possible including urging counterparties to follow suit. To supplement this, we have invested heavily in upgrading our document management system to industry-leading standards and implemented a paperless HR Management system, seeing drastic reductions in paper and printer toner usage as a result.
We are a signatory to the Greener Litigation pledge, which seeks to reduce paper usage in legal proceedings. This initiative encourages legal professionals, courts and users to adopt sustainable behaviours to ultimately achieve carbon negativity.
We have also established a partnership with EcoMatcher, an organisation dedicated to tree planting in critical locations. As part of this ongoing commitment, we plant trees for every new hire and notable company milestones we achieve.
We discourage the use of single use plastics within the firm and seek recyclable materials for our internal F & B and events. We regularly recycle outdated technology by donations to local charities for their ongoing use and enjoyment. We also participate in a number of other environmental initiatives more of which can be found on our employee handbook page.
